Jorge Arias is a Software Engineer graduated from Florida Institute of Technology. Through out his young career, Jorge has worked on a variety of projects, from web applications to advanced movement tracking software. Jorge's main interest lays on Software Oriented Architectures (SOA), in specific, web services. In fact, his current area of research is Testing Web Services and the difficulties that it envolves.
Born on March 14, 1988, Jorge grew up in Panama with one sister while attending Colegio Javier's elementary and middle school in Panama. There, he discovered interest in web design at age 13. At age 15, he and his family moved to Florida where he attended Colonial High School. There, he discovered an interest in programming. In 2006, Jorge enrolled at Florida Institute of Technology as a freshman to study Software Engineering.
Jorge's most exciting technology experience was helping in the development of the ABTA Institute, which promotes activity based total accountability for effective decision making, open benchmarking, performance improvement and shared data that is reliable and objective. Jorge's tasks included but were not limited to creating a web application for public as well as government leaders that allows access to tools, information, processes and methods for identifying the public value of state services.
